Raymond. Searle was killed by lightning on October 11, 1925 on this spot where the monument was built by his five sons. Bones of his horse were included on the top of the monument. His sons from left to right are: Jay Lincoln Searle, Milton H. Searle, Woodey B. Searle, Carl E. Searle, and Ray Searle. |
