Description Deterioration of visual function following optic nerve sheath decompression (ONSD) may result from scarring of the fenestration site. Surgeons have used Mitomycin C with ONSD to reduce fibroblast proliferation. The neurotoxic effects of this substance as used in this procedure were evaluated with a Hartley guinea pig model.
