Glade Sowards

Glade Sowards is pictured his school year at Central School. He is the son of Harmon S. and Ida Rebecca Jensen Sowards. He married Rachel Elizabeth Farley. He was a prominent citizen of Vernal. He along with his family owned many gas and oil businesses. He was involved in the Lions Club, Rotary Club and the Chamber of Commerce. He was on the Vernal City Council, Utah House of Representatives, Utah Senate, Utah State Rules Committee and the National Council of State Legislators. He was an active member in his church, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and seved in many capacities. He was born on September 9, 1929 and died November 10, 2001.
