Description Binocular visual acuity (VA) is reduced in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). Lesions in the afferent visual pathway, abnormal ocular motility and/or limited ophthalmic care might account for this observation. Further characterization is necessary to develop vision as a marker of non-motor neuron impairment in ALS.
