Description |
Unfortunately, the 19th century hope that visual field defects were specific for different disease processes was not born out. The best example of this that central scotomas were originally described in neuro-op disease, but occur much more frequently with retinal pathology. Classical findings in toxicity due to chloroquine and hydroxychloroquine was identified in the 1970s at the NIH, including paracentral visual field defects best seen on the 10-2 program. |
