In conjunction with the Institute of the American West, KBGL-TV (Pocatello), produced a video documentary called "Western Movies: Myth and Images". Photos are mostly movie stills. Most scenes are unidentified. "Northern Lights" is a film released in 1978 that depicts the creation of the Nonpartisan League in North Dakota, one of the first populist political movements in the turn of the century American West. Nine men in period costumes gathered outside a wooden and hay structure with the original captions "Northern Lights" and "A film by John Hanson and Rob Nilsson Starring Robert Behling and Susan Lynch" and "Licensed for display only in connection with the exhibition of this picture at your theater" and "A Cine Manifest Production" and "Copyright 1978, Northern Lights, Ltd. San Francisco, California, U.S.A. All rights reserved. Permission granted for newspaper and magazine reproduction."
