The wet clay, kneeded to the proper consistency, is rolled between the potter's hands to form a rope-like segment. This, in turn, is coiled around the rim of the growing pot and kneeded into place. Surplus clay is removed with a scraping stone and the pot is shaped and placed to air dry for a twenty-four hour period. An older woman sitting on the floor on a red geometric patterned rug.
