| Description | Digitized copy of an audiocassette recording of an interview between Fawn McKay Brodie and General Robert Cushman in June of 1979. Cushman commanded all Marine forces in Vietnam and was deputy director of the CIA, 1969-1971. This interview was part of Brodie's research for her 1981 book, Richard Nixon: The Shaping of His Character. Utah native Fawn Brodie was a history professor and biographer who published several books about historical figures, including Thomas Jefferson, Joseph Smith, and Richard Nixon. |
