Rose has been kind enough to furnish me so far with them & I find we cannot procure them here at any reasonable rate So I thought perhaps you would forward them from your office I am satisfied it would be a saving to the Government to do so. The Indians except those known as the Walker Band of Utes are at this time much more peacibly inclined than they were in the fall a cheif of the Pauack tribe with a party of six came in last week from the Northern part of the Territory to have a talk and give some presents the weather was very stormy and severe so I was obliged to take them in my office & keep them near a week. They are a fine looking intelegent and prosperous tribe of Indians, I gave them a variety of small presents they promised to be friendly and do everything they could to defuse among the Indians peacible & friendly spirit.
