Show and to ratify and oonfinn all acts which tha said Richard W. Young and Courtland C. Clements, or either of them, may lawfully do in the premises, coupled with authority to. employ, without additional cost to the said Indians, associate counsel to assist them in the premises, and with authority to make such arrangements among themselves and with such additional and associate counsel respecting tha duties to be assumed by each as will in the judgment of said persons employed best advance the interests confided to them. And the said \)(0\,\Afyy liA^JLeyjiy and U3yy£3&y><, are .hereby authorized .and empowered ,to contract and agree with the said Richard W. Young and Courtland C. Clements and to pay to them, in compensation for their services in the-matter hereinbefore set forth, a sum of-money equal to ten per centum of a,ny and all sums of money recovered by the Uintah "and White River Bands of Ute Indians and by the Indians here now in council assembled, or by either of the said 3ands of Indians, and paid or credited to the said Indians, from the United States, or which shall be secured to said Indian or to their use or benefit growing out of the claims or demands the prosecution whereof is the object to be attained by the employment of the said Young and Clements, or the recovery or the setting apart to said Indians things of value released or restored to said Indians or granted to them in lieu of things entering into any just claim or demands of said Indians. IN TESTIMONY WHERE02 the said Bands of Indians have' caused this resolution to be signed by their duly elected and acting Chairman and Secretary in open council held at the time and place hereinbefore named on the jJ_H__day of 'Qtjjf .
