Description The dynamic responses of 79 superior colliculus neurons were recorded in 2 monkeys (Macaca Mulatta) while they performed visually guided and memory guided saccades. As has been reported for the neuronal responses during visually guided saccades (Waitzman eta!. 1990) the cell activity during memory guided saccades could be categorized by the amount of activity remaining at the end of the saccade.
