Show This is a photograph of five Presbyterian Church missionary leaders. They are: D. Stuart Dodge, John Dixon, George McAfee, Harvey C. Olin, and Charles L. Thompson. . The men are all wearing dark suits, white shirts, ties and dark shoes. Three of the men are standing and two of the men are sitting in chairs. They are standing in front of a blank wall and there is an area rug in front of where they are sitting. <br><br> |

The actual photograph is in good condition. The images are all very clear and distinctive. There is a cardboard frame around the photograph. Only part of the original frame is attached to the photograph as the top layer has been pulled off in most places leaving only various parts of the cardboard backing. The upper part of the frame has some pencil marks. The following is written on the back of the photograph: "Presbyterian Missionary Leaders. From left to right: Rev. George F. McAfee, Charles L. Thompson, D.D., John Dixon, D.D., Dr. Stuart Dodge, D.D., Harvey C. Olin." In the upper right had corner "McAfee" is written. "This is a photograph of Presbyterian missionary leaders. None of them were ministers serving in Utah. George F. McAfee was the Superintendent of School Work in the Board of Home missions from 1892 to 1904. Charles L. Thompson was General Secretary of the Board of Home Missions from 1898 to 1914. He was born 18 August 1839 and died 25 April 1924. John Dixon was born in 1847 and died in 1935. Harvey C. Olin was born in 1853 and died in 1918." Dr. Fred Burton, January 24, 2008. |
