Address: 1247 4800 South, Taylorsville. The right half of this building was constructed in 1897 as the meetinghouse of the Taylorsville Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The left (east) half was added in 1910. The LDS Church vacated this building and constructed a new ward house. Since 1997, this has been the home of Al-rasool Islamic Center, a mosque and community center for Shi'a Muslims in Utah. |
