Description Neuromyelitis Optica (NMO) is a rare devastating autoimmune disease of the nervous system characterized by inflammatory events primarily involving the optic nerves and spinal cord. Although NMO most frequently occurs in adults, pediatric NMO has been reported but is rare. In this report we present a 16 month old baby girl who was diagnosed NMO spectrum disorder. We believe this might be the youngest reported patient in literature.
