Description This letter from Brigham Young to Issac B. Haight seeks assistance for William Bell and a group of settlers who wish to travel through southern Utah. Young told Haight that he heard that the Indians in southern Utah are "hostile," and because of this asked Haight to find at least two Indian men to travel with the group. Young also asked that Ira Hatch and Jacob Hamblin travel with the group to serve as interpreters.
