Somebody,-! haven't found out yet who i t was-,was just horrid about Mrs.Kao and so we have f i n a l ly taken her out of the school yard and she i s sewing for Ruth and me and i s 4oind very well. Shu Li was so good to come over and keep gate for u s , p r i n c i p a l l y to find out whether the things they said about Mrs.Kao were true or not,and she found out that they were not. i t looked as if we were not going to find cooks,and the g i r l s suggested UTanfc Ch'i Chieh and we asked her about i t : she i s afraid of her shadow but Mrs.Wang from our house came over and smoothed over things u n t i l Miss Wang f e l t b e t t e r and fearn-d how to manage the f i r e , a n d then Mrs.Kao who was at the s t a t i o n class waited to come an I so we l e t her t r y , a l t ho we were a f r a i d that she wouldn' be very good. They have worked together very b e a u t i f u l l y and we hope they corse back next semester and that everything goes along all right s t i l l .
