The Western Federation of Watercolor Societies is a collective partnership amongst several Watercolor Societies in the Western United States. Every year this federation sponsors an annual juried exhibition of collage and water-based media. The thirty-third annual exhibition was hosted by Southern Arizona Watercolor Guild at the Tubac Center of the Arts. Katherine Chang Liu juried the show.The Best of Show award winner was Hotel Lobby/Ariel View by Stan Goudey, a member of the San Diego Watercolor Society. The David Gale Memorial award winner was Executive Order 9066 Series II by Mary Higuchi, a member of San Diego Watercolor Society. The president of the Southern Arizona Watercolor Guild was Mary Lou Rankin from 2006-2008. |
