This office has some information which seems in a small way to verify somo of tho facts reported in the letter. I and some of the sheriff's force here will leave Por tho Deep Creek country tomorrow morning to Investigate the matter and to question the purporpowriter of the letter. In case we learn of anything of importance we will wire you. This letter is sent on ahead to prepare you for any wire you may receive in case we find our. suspicions thereon well grounded. In case you hear or know of any movement of Indians from your part of the oountry, kindly wire the Sheriff's office in Ply. Me will keep you advised of "developments from this end as fai"* as possible.
