| Description |
Rio Grande three-foot narrow gauge gondola car 1000 was typical of thousands of such cars used by the D&RG and others in Utah and the other western states. They carried ore and coal, but because they had no bottom doors they had to be unloaded by hand or turned over in a rotary dumper to unload. Note that the height of the car has been raised on board in order to haul more product. |
