Description Typescript of short sketches of the lives of James Lake, his wife,, Philomelia (Smith) Lake, and their son George Lake. The different sections were written by various descendants: James Lake sketch by granddaughter Mary Ellen Lake Jarvis; Philomelia Lake sketch by "E.S.J."; George Lake sketch by S.C. Richardson. Copied in 1949 by Mary Ellen Lake Jarvis. George Lake moved to Arizona in 1875 and later to Mexico.
