Recorded interview with Philip B. Price, M.D., conducted in 1969. Dr. Price recounts his career and coming to Utah in 1943. Dr. Price was Chair of the Department of Surgery at the University School of Medicine from 1943-1956. Dr. Price was Dean of the School of Medicine from 1956 until his retirement in 1962. Dr. Price was instrumental with both recruiting faculty for the 4-year medical program and spearheading efforts to build the University of Utah Medical Center. Dr. Price was Professor and Head of the Department of Surgery, Dean of the University of Utah School of Medicine 1956-1962.
