Alternative Title Tenth annual exhibition, Western Federation of Watercolor Societies
Description The Western Federation of Watercolor Societies is a collective partnership amongst several Watercolor Societies in the Western United States. Every year this federation sponsors an annual juried exhibition of collage and water-based media. The tenth annual exhibition was hosted by Southern Arizona Watercolor Guild at the Tubac Center of the Arts. Glenn Bradshaw and Fran Larsen juried the show and selected 82 paintings out of 672 entries. The Best of the Show award winner was Body of 3 Pieces, In Splendor Rare the Moon, Late Risen and Swollen as if with Tears-Walt Whitman, 2nd Landscape with Refiner's Fire by Elizabeth King, a member of the San Diego Watercolor Society. The David Gale Memorial winner was Silver Lace by Maxine Custer, a member of the San Diego Watercolor Society. The president of the Southern Arizona Watercolor Guild was Ellen Fountain, 1984-1985.
