In 1913 Francis Harper "Frank" Smith built this impressive Prairie style cross wing house to endure. The outside wall are 18 inches thick; while the inside walls are 9 inches thick. The interior was trimmed in oak, including an oak fireplace and built-in closet. In 1936 the screened porch was enclosed and the kitchen enlarged into the space. Frank's son, Marvin, and his wife, Blanche Seeley Smith occupied the home until 1999. |
