Sawyer discusses how she and her family got to Utah. Sawyer's involvement with the Center included Colors of Success and NAACP meetings. NAACP meetings sometimes focused on police brutality and employment for the Black community. She talks about several community leaders who mentored her and what mentorship was like as a young person at the Center. She's been on and off involved in the Center since the 1970s. |
