Tom Blevins sits on horse, leading a pack horse at the exterior of the Jensen Post Office in 1898. He was born in Indiana in about 1859. He came west at a young age and was closely associated with the Stewart family in Jensen, Utah. He spent time taking care of horses at Pat's Hole and later operated a placer mine in Colorado. He came to town only in short intervals for supplies that he took back on pack horses. At the age of 81, he died at the home of Josie Morris in June of 1943. He is buried in the Jensen Cemetery. |
