Description |
The risk of developing multiple sclerosis (M.S.) after an initial attack of optic neuritis is unclear. Published estimates, based mainly upon retrospective data, range from 11 to 85%. A prospective study of this problem was undertaken in the late 1960's and was reported by Cohen and Lessell in 1979. The same group of 60 patients is again reported. |
