Description |
The diversion tunnel is a gaping big black hole in the rock ledge at the bottom of Flaming Gorge Canyon. The tunnel, located on the west side of Green River is the first major phase for the Flaming Gorge Dam construction. The tunnel is driven 80 feet thus far into the solid rock surface. When finished, the tunnel will divert the Green River away from the dam site. |
