Final Score Several indoor records were broken, while two athletes set provisional qualifying marks/times. Leading the way for Utah, were Brooke LoBue, Katie Decker and Delfino Arevalo, who all notched first-place finishes in their respected events. LoBue won the pole vault with a height of 12' 10.25". The senior's mark is currently a provisional qualifying mark. Decker, a junior, grabbed the high jump with 5' 07.75". The junior Arevalo won the 5,000-meter run in 15:28.6. Autumn Smith and Trisha Wagner tied for second in the pole vault with marks of 11' 05.75". Smith broke the school record in the 60-meter dash in 7.92 seconds. Other Utes finishing in the top three, were Kristy Slade in the long jump (third, 18' 09.00), Vanessa Mortensen in the weight throw (third, 53' 02.25"), Julie Osguthorpe in the 5,000 meters (third, 18:09.5), Jennifer Jackman in the 400-meter dash (third, 57.66) and Nellie Hammons in the 800-meter run (third, 2:12.51). Hammons time is a new indoor school record. Nephi Tyler set a provisional qualifying time in the mile with 4:04.36. The 4x400-meter relay team of Slade, Hammons, Andrea Davidson and Jackman set a new indoor school record with 3:51.28.
