Description A 10 year old female was first evaluated in 1978 tor swollen optic discs and Intermittent headaches without transient visual obscuration. Evaluation showed visual acuity of 20/20 OU with binasal visual field defects and enlargement of the blind spots bilaterally. The pupils were normal. The optic discs showed bilateral hyperemic edema, with several flame hemorrhages at the right disc margin and a fine rim of intraretinal hemorrhage adjacent to the left; no drusen were visible. Workup included negative VORL, FT A, ANA, two normal lumbar punctures (OP 135 and 188 mm CSF), and normal CT scan (including ventricular and optic nerve size).
