Description |
Left to right: Lynn S. Ludlow, Palmer B. DeLong and Wallace Jeffery respond to questions concerning the Central Utah Project (CUP). The project was authorized in the mid-1950's. It promised Colorado River water to many central Utah counties. In 1988, county commissioners and others publicly suggested that Millard county withdraw because of low levels of federal funding and environmental questions. The suggestion was taken. (Lynn S. Ludlow was the first general manager for the Central Utah Water Conservancy District. Palmer DeLong worked for the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation.) |
