Description Scrapbook kept by Doris Nevills including a photograph of her and copies of a series of newspaper articles on the 1940 river expedition from Green River, Wyoming, to Lake Mead, Nevada, June 20 to August 22, led by her husband. The articles, from the Granby (Colorado) Daily Sentinel, beginning with the issue of Sunday, June 15, 1941, consisted of an edited version of Doris Nevills' journal from the expedition, with considerably more detail. Series headline: "Woman conqueror of the Colorado." The original journal was in three notebooks now in Box 27, folders 15 to 17.
