Description Devona Pectol Hancock, daughter of Ephraim Pectol, with Indian shield. Discovered by Ephraim P. Pectol at the Captiol Reef area of south central Utah in 1926. This shield, along with two others, was part of the Pectol-Lee Collection until 2003 when the Navajo Nation took possession of the shields under the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA).
