Description |
Perimetry represents a quantitative method of detecting, evaluating and monitoring a large number of ophthalmologic and neurologic diseases, as well as providing accurate information pertaining to the effectiveness of therapeutic regimens. Until recently, a highly-skilled perimetric technician was required to perform the testing manually. Since there is a shortage of properly trained perimetrists, the quality of patient care has often suffered because perimetric testing was either not performed or was conducted improperly. The advent of automated perimetry has provided the opportunity for all physicians to obtain a reliable, accurate and reproducible. |
