Description The Very Energetic Radiation Imaging Telescope Array System (VERITAS) detects Cerenkov radiation from extended air showers (EAS) produced by Ƴ rays that interact with the earth's atmosphere. The earth's magnetic field effects the development of EAS by interacting with secondary charge particles in the shower. In this thesis, we present the results of Monte Carlo simulations of primary Ƴ rays with kinetic energies between 400 GeV and 6.4 TeV and the effects that the earth's magnetic field has on the image parameters width and length. Simulation results are compared to Crab Nebula data from the 2007-2008 observation season.
