Harvesting of salt near the shores of Great Salt Lake. The huge pile of salt seen here is salt which has been scraped up from the floors of huge diked areas whrere Great Salt Lake water is allowed to evatorate after which the salt is recovered and piled as pictured. From here it is sent to the refinery. |
