Description A 19-year-old Caucasian male was found unresponsive. Nearby was a container of anti-freeze, two-thirds full. In the local emergency room he was noted to be unresponsive, rigid, acidotic, and in renal failure (ph 7.3, BUN 81, creatinine 7.1, anion gap 25 mEq.).
