The Western Federation of Watercolor Societies is a collective partnership amongst several Watercolor Societies in the Western United States. Every year this federation sponsors an annual juried exhibition of collage and water-based media. The eleventh annual exhibition was hosted by San Antonio Watercolor Group at the University of Texas Health Science Center. In memory of Herschel Winslett, past president 1974-1975 and one of the founding fathers. Alexander Ross, Katherine Chang Liu and Dorothy Hood juried the show and selected 86 paintings out of 954 entries. The Best of the Show award winner was Cow-Time I by Annell Livinston, a member of the Watercolor Art Society Houston. The Award of Excellence winner was Untitled by Linda Suggs, a member of the San Antonio Watercolor Group. |
