A transcribed copy of a report made by Lieutenant Sylvester Mowry of Lieutenant Col. R. J. Steptoe's command, who in the spring of 1855 was ordered to take a detachment of Steptoe's forces to California by the Southern Route. This copy was made by the Utah Writer's Project WPA from a photoset of the original in the Nation Archives. Made by Dale L. Morgan, the supervisor of the Utah Writers' Project. |
