Description Axonal degeneration in multiple sclerosis (MS) and optic neuritis (ON) may be affected by disease severity, duration, and treatment response. Optical coherence tomography (OCT) provides accurate, reproducible data for evaluating axonal changes in the retinal nerve fiber layer (RNFL). The purpose of this analysis is to evaluate the effects of baseline disease severity and demographic measures on RNFL changes concurrent with interferon beta-1a (IFNB-1a) subcutaneous (SC) (Rebif) therapy in patients with MS and ON, using OCT.
