Description Intracranial germinomas are most commonly encountered in the pineal, suprasellar and basal ganglia regions. In recurrent cases seeding of the spinal column is fairly common; however, spread to the optic nerves is exceedingly rare. In the few described cases recurrence occurred within a few years of treatment. In this report we describe an unusual case with optic nerve seeding thirteen years following treatment of a suprasellar germinoma.
