Description |
Cavernous malformations (CM) are vascular lesions that affect up to 0.5% of the population. 20-50% are asymptomatic and only found incidentally on imaging. When symptomatic, they typically present in the 2nd to 4th decade of life. Lesions involving the anterior visual pathway account for less than 1% of all intracranial CMs. Here we present a case of a symptomatic CM that presented in a 10 year-old girl, involving the optic chiasm, optic nerves and tracts. |
