Annie Bartlett

Annie Katherine Jensen Bartlett came to Ashley Valley with her husband, Charles Bartlett in 1879. For many years she attended at every death and birth in the valley. She was always on hand to do her part and to give comfort to the bereaved and rejoicing with new parents with the arrival of new babies. She was the first matron of the Uintah Academy and continued until the creation of the new Uintah High School. She was born November 9, 1844 and died January 5, 1937.
