"Aurora" discusses her experiences moving from Pirkkala, Finland to Fair Oaks, California at age 16 in 1994. This interview was completed over Skype as opposed to in person. The Mormon Homelands Young Women Project audio-visual collection (2014-2017) consists of oral history interviews with LDS young women about their experience moving from Mormon-minority communities to Mormon-majority communities. Their moves occurred from 1975-2000, when narrators were from 12 to 19 years of age. All interviewees have been anonymized and given pseudonyms. |
