Sir: Referring to your predecessor's letter dated April 50, 1012, submitting an agreement in quadruplicate, entered into with tho Dry Gulch Irrigation Company, accompanied by a bond in the sun of 0c£,500, there is transmitted herewith a carbon copy of Officer letter of February 5, 1013, and a copy of Department letter of February 27, 1913, approving tho recommendation of the Office that the company be granted permission to proceed with the construction of tis canals across Indian allotments and with the enlargement of existing Indian canals, as described on maps of definite location and in the agreement and bond. Please notify the company of the action taken by enclosed herewith. Department, and send it one of the two parts of tho agreement/ You aro requested to sec that the interests of the Indians are fully protected in the proceedings which the record shows it was tho intention of tho company to institute in the State counts under the Act of June 21, 1° ; .'54 Stat.
