Description Prior clinical correlations in patients with cerebellar disease have been in patients with cerebellar degenerations, tumors, bullet wounds, and hemorrhages. Cerebellar infarcts, because of their focality, frequent lack of mass effect, and localization to medial (vermis) or lateral (hemisphere) regions, provide better opportunity for clinico-anatomical correlation of cerebellar functions. CT/MR now allow accurate cerebellar localization. We present our experience with the stroke mechanisms and clinical findings in 100 patients with imaging confirmed cerebellar infarcts studied in Boston and Taejon, Korea.
