Sar£ it Ct, ..• a.... * ;em » it Dear Mr* and Mrs* Sargent: I am addressing you at Walnut St., but I am not sure that Walnut Street exists any longer* The reports that we have received of the disastrous fire seem to include 7/alnut Street, although other statements we receive are indefinite. We hope that you escaped. What a terrible fire it was* I am wondering about Mr. and Jfrs. Lucas, my old classmate. I hope they escaped. You. know, of course, that the house belonging to us on Hilgard St. was burned* "r, Kyle, who had bought the place, had it well insured and the insurance money was immediately paid into the bank to cover all loss* Mr. Kyle has been very honorable about all this matter* You will be glad to know that we have received sufficient funas from friends in America to provide for our work during the present fiscal year. We nave enlarged it, opening a Chlf Teng Boys* School arm a kindergarten for the little children in addition to the schools already in operation. All these schools are well attended and the pupils .are more and more enthusiastic. They are becoming better instructed and begin to know just what we mean and what we are aiming to do. We want you both to pray for the blessing of the Holy Spirit upon these dear boys and girls, as well as upon the fine group of men that are now attending more or less regularly on our services. I suppose there are fully 100 men that are interested, and we want these 100 men for Christ* Kelp as to pray. Trusting that you did not sustain any serious loss by the fire, and hoping to hear from you definitely, 1 remain, with love from Mrs. Price to you doth, Yours &E always, |
