Description |
North Temple, Salt Lake City. South side of North Temple between Main and State Streets. These three old pioneer homes were torn down to make place for the LDS Business College. The Genealogical Society Building then stood on the spot, now occupied by the Church Office Building. "At the left, the home of Helen Mar Kimball Whitney. Apostle Orson Ferguson Whitney was reared in this house. The center house was the home of Lucy Bloxom Whitney, and the house on the right was the home of Mary Cravath Whitney, mother of Horace G. Whitney, who was general manager of the Deseret News for 25 years." --Relief Society Magazine, vol. 41, no. 7, July 1954. |
