Description |
Address: 2500 E 3900 S, Holladay, UT. An affiliate of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA), in June of 1958, Pastor F. W. Henkel and Walter Smith came to Salt Lake City to begin a survey for a new church. The first worship and Sunday School were held at East Millcreek Gymnasium October 26, 1958. On February 7, 1960, with a membership of seventy-one, Our Saviour's Lutheran Church was chartered. The growth of the congregation called for the construction of their own church building, and the site on 39th South was soon purchased. |
