Show Doris and I v/ant to thank you two for the mighty fine time we had at Morgan Hill, and look back on our v i s i t s with you with a great deal of pleasure* Our t i i p up the Kedweed Highway was rough and somewhat dusty, but a lot of sport* We stopped a day with Aunt Susie and took her to the petrified forest over beyond Santa Rosa and to see one of the geysers near there* Uncle Ben couldn't go, |S(he had t o go to 'Frisco to see about his daughter-in-law*sffuneral* You have probably heard about that* le had a fine visit with Aunt Susie,- the f i r s t I have had with her since she came from China* She has changed a good deal, - • Saw Grace Burton in Areata, and then came on up the coast as far as Reedsport, then in to Drain* It was a fine windup to our vacation* le saw a ten foot redwood felled as we were coming thru some new construction north of Eureka,- Doris goT a big t h r i l l* Doris i s going to add to this, so I will leave the space below for her* All the families here are thriving, Kay is s t i ll with Les, Brancis begins to teach at F.G.High soon, LeEoy at Gaston, and Art Johnson is thinking of going to U.0* instead ofM to P.U* He hasn't come back fuom Alaska yet. Our moves/wi depend on Lester's and his will depend on what the Johnsons do, and they a r e n ' t back from Nebraska yet* Hello, Margaret. I ougjit to spend the next few para-vgraphs apologizing for not writing sooner, but sane of the reasons are given in Arthur's part of the l e t t e r * le enjoyed our company a great deal - Aunt Alice was not with us for the whole six weeks,but made our house her headquarters, le enjoyed her a l o t , also Margaret Kutherford, Kate and Ted with Virgil's (Kate,Ted,etc) Ruth and Fannie's Gene. They/were with us only one night. |
