Description |
Student with their teacher stand in front of the Central School. The original Central School was built in 1888 and was a brick build of two rooms. It was built on a farm owned by William Ashton. He deeded the east half of the block to the school. Eight grades were held in the two rooms. A third room was added in 1893. This school was the first brick building in Uintah County. It was demolished when they started the new Central School in 1939. |
